the so dior exhibition

Before we left for the States I had a chance to sneak into Harrods quickly and check out the pop-up So Dior Exhibition.  So glad I remembered to go as the exhibition ended on 14 April so sorry for all those who didn't get to catch it.  We whizzed around pretty quickly as both kids were with us but to my surprise they both actually seem to enjoy all the lights and glamour.

When you first walk into the exhibition you enter into a room with a miniature House of Dior and it is absolutely stunning and so Parisian.  The little windows are filled with sweet little displays of perfume and fashion accessories.  I absolutely loved the stage filled with all of the miniature replica dresses of all of Dior's most iconic dresses.  It's amazing the amount of detail that went into creating all of the pieces.  My other favourites are the exquisite strapless Miss Dior dress worn by Natalie Portman, the gorgeous beaded gown worn by Charlize Theron in J'Adore commercial, and the absolutely stunning beaded mini dress worn by Audrey Hepburn in 1969.

Still a bit upset I didn't get to have tea and Dior cupcakes in the Dior Cafe.  Luckily there is a Laduree downstairs to make up for it and still get to feel like you are in Paris.

The Exhibition was just so beautifully done and it was really such a treat to get to view all those gorgeous and famous gowns!

So more lovely images:
