burberry knightsbridge

The lovely blogger Marlene from Chocolate Cookies and Candies invited me to a Burberry Children's event at the Knightsbridge store this past weekend.  There was no way I was going to turn down this invitation to check out the new season's collection and to meet Marlene in person.  The shop doors opened earlier for the event with lots of fun activities set up for all the children.  There were just a handful of us who had the store all to ourselves and the friendly Burberry staff on hand to help us shop!

I took my mom who is in town visiting and my Little Monster as it was during Baby Girl's nap.  There was an arts and crafts table set up where the kiddies could make outfits for paper dolls while gluing and sticking their little hearts out.  The Little Monster actually stood there for a good 10 minutes making his creation which is a huge feat for a 3 year old boy!  There was a magician on hand for entertainment with brownies and little cupcakes being passed around.  One of Burberry's private shoppers was even offering his services for some baby sitting while mummy and grandma got to shop.

It was so nice chatting to Marlene about children, life in the UK, blogging, and handbags while trying on trench coats.  Do hop over to her blog as she has got killer style and gorgeous photography on her blog.  I absolutely love her sense of humour in all of her posts!

Of course we didn't come home empty handed.  My mom bought a short trench for her upcoming Alaska cruise and Baby Girl ended up for 2 adorable dresses for a wedding we will be attending over the summer.  Unfortunately the trench I wanted wasn't available in my size but I think I just found one I like even better on the Burberry site.  We had such a great time at the event and want to thank Marlene for the invite.

Check out my picks for boys and girls from the Summer 2013 collection:

Red Cotton Twill Trench Coat - So classic and so adorable
Check Detail Cotton Dress - We got this dress in white for Baby Girl
Layered Hem T-Shirt - The peplum is very chic and on trend
Silk Ruffle Detail Dress -  We got a similar sleeveless dress for Baby Girl.  Love a crisp white dress for the summer.

Cotton Twill Trench Coat - Sophisticated and just can't go wrong with a classic like this
Check Cotton Linen Shorts - Love the bright yellow on the Burberry check
Boat Graphic Shirt - I'm stripe obsessed and I love the artwork printed on the tee
Check Panel Cotton Cardigan - Such a versatile piece for any boys wardrobe

Happy shopping!
